Centers
The CSIS Department has established the following centers to provide education and services to the local community and beyond.
Center for Election Systems The Center for Election Systems is a cooperative venture of the Georgia Office of the Secretary of State and Kennesaw State University. The State of Georgia has committed to an initiative to acquire and install a uniform, state wide voting system based upon direct recording electronic (DRE) voting systems. To support this effort, the Center for Election Systems has been established to provide services for Georgia election officials and poll workers to assist with the transition to the new DRE system.
Center for Information Security Awareness and Education The mission of the Center for Information Security Awareness and Education is to increase the level of information security awareness in the Kennesaw State University community and to serve as a clearinghouse for information on security education, training, and awareness programs at Kennesaw and the surrounding community.
International Center For Innovation In Technologies The purpose of The International Center For Innovation In Technologies is to develop and enhance relationships with global organizations around the theme of building, using, and applying innovative technologies. This research center will create and maintain strong links with organizations and institutions investing in and using technologies. The Center will provide a locus of opportunity for institutions wanting to interact with researchers, students, and faculty in the College of Science and Mathematics at KSU.
In addition to working within the regional community, the ICIT intends to develop a number of international partner institutional alliances. These alliances will enable industrial collaboration on an international scale and may include large multinational corporations and startups. It is a goal of ICIT to generate intellectual property with partnering organizations, but can separate intellectual property rights when it is advantageous to multiple participating parties.
